Sonnet In My Soul

When God gives you a seed,
it must be planted.

When God gives you a song,
it must be sung.

When God gives you a story,
it must be told.

And, when He puts a sonnet in your soul…it must be shared.

Laura Sohl-Cryer is an award-winning poet, engaging storyteller, and compelling communicator whose “home place” on an Iowa farm shaped her life and faith in Jesus.  With a genuine passion for sharing stories of God at work, she loves to tell her own soul-stirring stories and to encourage, empower and equip others to do the same.

Remembering the Home Place

Remembering the Home Place is my debut book, and I am so excited to share it with you!  One of the enormous blessings of my life was to grow up on a family farm in Northwest Iowa from 1975 to 1993.  As this way of life quickly disappears from the fabric of our society, sharing our stories of faith, family and farming is critically important.  Heartwarming narratives blooming with hope and humor are woven together with poignant poems - each one helping you to discover, understand, and value the family farm experience and to reflect on the stories God has given you to tell.

I'd love to hear from you!
